Bravo Ivan! Words are inadequate to describe how much hubby and I enjoyed your pasta e fagioli tonight! I took just a little freedom with the recipe, using fresh minced garlic, tomato sauce from my garden, a "glug" of a proficient red wine, and fresh parsley. I used the corporeality of herbs as the recipe directed, even though I thought it might exist too much, but it all came together perfectly. Topped this with a niggling shredded mozarella and served it with garlic bread. This Italian gal cleaned her basin! As for hubby? The first words out of his mouth (filled with pasta east fagioli) were, "Brand this once again!"

I have had this recipe many times. Made the first time I had it, and quite a few times after that by Chez Ivano (Ivan O.Teeter) himself. Ivan was my father-in-law. Unfortunately Ivan passed away simply over two years ago. He had many recipe's. This one was among his favorites. Most people who accept had information technology hold it is an splendid Italian soup. We take served Pasta e Fagioli a la Chez Ivano (he really liked that name) numerous times to guests, and they always enquire for the recipe earlier they exit. People will try variations to satisfy in that location own tastes merely the basis of this recipe remains Ivan's. Perhaps one day I will get his recipe book out and share more with y'all. There is a recipe for S.O.S. that I'chiliad sure most who have been in the military would capeesh.

YUMMY! This is a wonderfully flavourful soup that fills your firm with the olfactory property of a fine Italian restaurant! I have cooked this both the regular mode and past slow cooker, and accept had great success for both. For boring-cooker fans: scramble-fry footing beefiness, then add all ingredients to crock-pot except for kidney beans and pasta. Cook for iv-6 hours on high (or viii-ten on low, your preference). Add together the kidney beans and pasta during the final 15 minutes of cooking. If you intend to keep/freeze leftovers, cook the pasta separately and add it to each soup bowl... this will prevent liquid assimilation and smushy pasta. I found that macaroni also works well if you can't find ditalini in your grocery store. I reduced the corporeality of garlic to 5-6 large cloves, minced (for a 10-serving recipe), and we did not lack for garlic flavor! Thanks then much for a first-class recipe, Ivan!

This is an splendid recipe. I did somethings differently just to add my own personal touch. Cook the pasta separately because it gets mushy the longer it sits in the pot. Abbi

I made this soup in award of the Opening Anniversary for the 2006 Olympics in Torino...and i have to tell yous, this recipe is admittedly amazing! The only change i made was to add almost 1/2 can of navy beans - like Olive Garden's. I halfed the recipe to 10 servings and it turned out perfectly. I would propose making the Pesto Staff of life Rounds recipe off of allrecipes to go with the soup...YUM!!

I was watching the news the other day and a story came on nearly a couple who had been married for 82 years. The 105 year old married man said one of the things he appreciated about her was that she prepared dinners for him — including his beloved pasta e fagioli. LOL I thought if pasta e fagioli could keep a couple together for 82 years I'd better endeavor it likewise! ;) This recipe was good. Improve the next mean solar day for sure, merely I think I'd use regular beef broth next time as the flavor was quite a bit likewise stiff for our tastes. The chief thought was skillful tho. I halved the recipe, add together julliened carrot (1 cup for the one-half recipe), fresh garlic (iv large cloves for the one-half recipe) and fresh parsley (didn't have dried). The residue I followed exactly. PS Serve with garlic or cheese bread and an italian salad.
ten/05/2007
Okay, I've never had this earlier, I loved it! I did add fresh mushrooms and zucchini, , and after saute'ing the veggies and ground beef, put it in a crock pot on low for a couple hours, till nosotros got home, and OMG, will be making this all the fourth dimension. I did keep the pasta split.
02/eleven/2008
I cut the recipe in half for 10 servings, but next time will practice information technology for xx servings. Information technology is delicious! I'll be making this Pasta eastward Fagioli recipe from now on. I served it with a salad and crusty Italian bread. A big hit with my hubby who said it was definitely a "Keeper".
04/10/2005
Splendid soup! I have made versions of this soup before but this is the best - very hearty..I served with bread. Since there are only 2 of united states of america I halfed the entire recipe which nonetheless allowed for several bowls for each of us and a container for my parents! Just tweak I made was using fresh garlic (6 cloves minced) instead of jarred. Cheers!
02/04/2002
Fabricated this recipe and thought it tasted good but a little too much celery for me on the commencement day. Then we had some the next 24-hour interval and the celery taste disappeared and it was fifty-fifty more delicious! The third day heated up information technology was The Bomb!!!!!It got ameliorate and meliorate each day!
01/07/2012
I teach this recipe over and over to children who alive in foster group homes. I tell them that they are like the ingredients in the soup. The pot comes to life and full flavor when everything is put together! This soup is also a favorite in my own firm.
06/thirteen/2012
I thought Olive Garden was the best. You lot are not going to get a meliorate recipe than this. 1-ten scoring this is a 25 Don't attempt to be Emerill and tweak this recipe. Cook every bit stated.
12/05/2010
This soup rates upwardly there with those nosotros've had at fancy Italian restaurants. Followed the directions exactly and the but affair I modified from the ingredient list was elbow macaroni instead of ditalini pasta (what I had on hand). Half the recipe made more than enough for the ii of usa for several meals. Leftovers are even BETTER the next twenty-four hours! Absolutely loved this delicious soup! It will definitely be 1 of my "get-to" meals. Cheers for this keeper of a recipe. :)
02/20/2007
Very adept. I didn't notice until too late that it takes 3 hours. I didn't have time to simmer goop for one hour. It was notwithstanding good. I thought 2 jars of garlic would be as well much then I used less. I only used two cans of reduced sodium beefiness broth & the rest water with beef burgoo cubes. I brand the pasta separately & cascade over. Thanks!
02/02/2007
I lost my favorite Pasta e Fagioli recipe and found this to be closest to what I remember mine to exist. My only variations are to utilise fresh garlic and to use Bang-up Northern beans instead of the kidney beans. I also add the pasta at the end so it doesn't blot too much liquid. This also freezes well as long as you go on the pasta separate; otherwise it gets mushy.
01/22/2011
Super fabulous Italian soup recipe! We LOVED it! Wouldn't change a thing! I cooked basis turkey over the stove with diced onions, celery, garlic, and pepper. I added above mixture to the crock pot with beef goop, crushed tomatoes, paste, and herbs for about 5 hours on high. I then added beans the terminal fifteen minutes, while the elbow pasta cooked. Added pasta to bowls then pored soup on top with grated parm cheese. Served with home made french staff of life.
09/fourteen/2008
A+! I rarely brand a recipe from this site without changing a little something - however this 1 is perfect equally is.
03/23/2008
Made this concluding evening. 'Twas a gastronomic delight! I scaled information technology down for 8 servings and followed the recipe equally is written. I had to make two changes. I only had well-nigh a third of a jar left of the minced garlic, and so added 4 cloves of fresh (minced/chopped by me). Forgot to get the ditalini pasta at the shop, so used elbow mac. Per other reviewers advice, I likewise cooked the mac seperately and added to bowls upon serving. I served fresh French bread and parm on the side. Husband had two helpings and finally commented, "this is scrumptious" (non a word he uses often). I told him I was going to utilize his praise in my review and he said that was fine because he ways it! It has a rich, deep flavour to it that I oasis't found in other pasta e fagiolis I've eaten. Then, at the cease of the meal nosotros decided that this is a "keeper". Thank y'all for submitting it.
05/26/2008
I wouldn't alter a thing. Everyone loves information technology!
10/07/2012
Beloved this recipe!! This has been my become to recipe whenever I get the craving for Pasta Fagioli. Even my non-italian married man thinks this is wonderful. No need to endeavor any other recipes this hits it head on!!
08/03/2006
Its a piddling scrap thick non like i've eaten on this famous restaurant chain..
11/15/2011
Excellent pasta e fagioli: I added a petty crushed red pepper to give it some estrus though and actress black pepper.
04/06/2008
This was to die for! I did make a few minor changes though. I cooked it in a crock pot which made it super easy. I used basis turkey and italian sausage and just browned it with four cloves of galirc and the onion. Then I simply threw everything into the crock pot excpet for the pasta and beans. I let it cook on low for most viii hours then added the cooked pasta and beans just before serving.
10/24/2010
cracking season! I omitted the ground beef and used vegetable goop instead of the beef broth. Pasta e fagioli means 'beans and pasta' and when cooked traditionally should non include any meat.
11/fifteen/2010
Definitely 5 stars! I did the crockpot method for this. I browned tuckered the beef (used very lean beef and 1/two ground turkey for the meat) and added to the crockpot. I then sautee'd the veggies and added that. I used a half-dozen quart crockpot and could but fit in near 96 ounces of beef stock. I added almost x cloves of garlic and added some garlic powder and crushed cerise pepper to the seasonings. I cooked the pasta separately and added to the private bowls for serving. My kids and I LOVED it! My kids are 4 and vi and both cleaned their bowls. I likewise added 8 ounces of fresh mushrooms to the last 3-iv hours of cooking time. Will definitely make again.
01/07/2012
Wow, this was super flavorful, and I didn't even simmer information technology as long equally I was supposed to! Tin't look to eat leftovers tomorrow.
11/xx/2010
Absolutely AMAZING. Thanks for sharing this family recipe. It will definitely exist a new family favorite in our business firm!
09/21/2010
I always saddens me when I need to add common salt and hot sauce to a dish upon serving it, but this was just besides bland. I had a hard time coming to terms w/ the ho-hum-ness of this soup, b/c the aroma wafting through my business firm as it simmered was remarkably pungent and drool-inspiring. I followed the recipe exactly, w/ th exception of halving it, and using fresh herbs (and lots of them) and fresh garlic (7 cloves), so I don't know if my superhero ability just happens to exist a heightened sense of gustatory modality b/c I was just a flake disappointed w/ the lack of BLAMO season. At that place are leftovers, and then I intend to re-simmer the soup w/ additional spices to give it more oomph. All in all, a hearty soup (and great served w/ a greenish salad and crusty bread) due west/ loads of potential.
10/31/2012
WE loved this so much I'm but sorry I waited so long to effort it. Made information technology merely as read but on a smaller scale and with just a bit less garlic. It was a lilliputian time consuming to set but judging from how quickly it all disappeared, well worth every minute. Adding the pasta and beans for the last 20 minutes or then was a good thought, they stayed more than "al dente" that way and the season was actually very good. I would fifty-fifty consider cooking the pasta separately from the sauce next time...and I will be making a much bigger pot adjacent time to freeze some.
01/09/2010
Fabulous soup. Will keep recipe as a staple soup in my habitation.
12/17/2008
Good, but the thyme was strongly overpowering and overall I found information technology a bit bland. I am besides used to the pasta fagioli pop in CT which is usually cannellini beans, and whole tomatoes (sparingly) instead of paste & crushed, so information technology's not quite so tomatoe-y. But since this is Ivano's version of fagioli, I permit that pass. ;)
11/23/2012
Very skillful. We were looking for Pasta e Fagioli as swell as served by a pocket-size 'mom & popular' Italian restaurant where we in one case lived only this didn't quite match that exemplary standard. Will make this once again but with some modifications aimed at trying to recreate the one we loved.
05/25/2012
This was a really good dish that my kids LOVED! They all requested the leftovers for lunch the adjacent 24-hour interval. Instead of a jar of minced garlic, I finely minced 8 cloves (I could have washed more). I would beloved to try this dish with fresh herbs instead of dried.
03/25/2008
Wonderful recipe! Very flavorful! I substituted some beefiness boullion, water, and love apple sauce for one-half of the consomme to save a little money and apply ingredients on hand and all the same tasted great. Can cutting back on garlic and yet have plenty of flavour. We will be making this often.
04/22/2012
Meh. I had such loftier hopes afterwards reading all the rave reviews, just this soup had no flavor until I added bouillon, a cup of carmine wine, more fresh garlic and garlic powder, more herbs and some salsa, but something was still missing. Luckily, parmesan helps anything taste better, so my family got through it.
ten/15/2005
WONDERFUL! I added carrots to the stew. It made a TON of nutrient, so we have enough frozen for future meals. I used ground beef and italian sausage. I likewise used ane whole head of garlic, chopped very tiny, instead of the jarred garlic. Delicious!
12/07/2010
I retrieve that the only problem with this soup is the lack of salt. On the second twenty-four hours when I reheated it, I added a fair (1 tsp.) of common salt and topped with grated parm. I served with a salad and Italian staff of life. Very good!
01/05/2012
This is my new favorite soup! Yummy!
08/01/2014
I use a few slight variations but otherwise I pretty much follow this recipe for my pasta e fagioli. First variation is, I employ iii dissimilar meats; ground beef, italian sausage, and Prosciutto. I likewise use cannelini beans in addition to kidney beans. I likewise add peeled infant carrots and diced zuccini when sauteing the celery, onions and garlic. I also use chicken broth instead of beefiness broth (I never tried beefiness broth just the chicken broth always worked well for me). The 3 meats make this soup pasta east fagiolicious. Soup so practiced that all who eat it beg for the recipe. I'yard making it this coming Sunday and my wife and I can't wait.
12/11/2008
yum, yum, yum! this was great...I did everything only as the recipe states EXCEPT I added shredded carrots...I also didnt have kidney beans and then I used pinto beans...so and so good...this is my permanent recipe for this dish..thanks for sharing!
05/01/2006
I concur with i of the other reviewers; it is better when it sits over night. I would make information technology once again.
01/12/2008
This recipe is GREAT! I actually halved everything except the crushed tomatoes and tomato paste because I wanted make a smaller quantity and it was fantastic.
01/13/2010
Hmmm. This was just "OK" for me, although my fiance liked this a LOT!!! I constitute my soup to be terribly bland. It'south probably but me though, lol. :-) I must say, this recipe is not merely versatile (add together or remove any items you see fit), only also economical AND easy to ready (just allow plenty of time for it). To speed preparation even farther, I used my mini food chopper/processor to chop my onions - and give thanks goodness I did (WOW, did my optics water!!!)!!!!! Since I halved the recipe, I only ended upwardly using 3 large celery stalks. I decreased the amount of meat (I used a 1.x lb. package of good 'ol ground chuck, drained/rinsed thoroughly) by nearly a one-half pound. Oh, and I added a chip of the "juice" from my jar of bottled garlic since Ivan didn't specify otherwise.... I am confused past the multitude of comments that speak of using (or not using) beef consomme. It is not one of the ingredients of this soup! Peradventure Ivan made an ingredient change afterward the fact and so reposted his recipe??? Anyways, I idea this was good, but am certainly not jumping out of my seat to make it again. I prefer Andrea'due south pasta fagioli (but my fiance thinks I have bad taste in general hahaha!). If I make this again, it will certainly be for him, not me (sans the beans - he felt they added nothing to the soup). Served with warm French bread to sop up the goop, this was a hearty repast. Cheers for sharing, Ivan! I'1000 sure your FIL has many excellent recipes that you tin can share with us! :-)
09/08/2009
I tin't believe I haven't rated this recipe yet! I've made this for the family unit a couple times and it is wonderful! Even my picky eaters swallow it up! I don't mess with the recipe at all, information technology is perfect exactly as written. Elevation it with fresh mozzarella cheese on a cool fall evening and it is out of this world! Oh yes, I unremarkably serve it with the parmesan knots from this site, they get great together!
10/30/2010
Great taste and easy to set. I cutting the recipe in half and used a little more pasta.
01/27/2002
The all-time Fagioli recipe Ive found
10/28/2005
I outset made this recipe about four years ago, as I noticed that my brother was always ordering pasta e fagioli at restaurants whenever possible. This is a wonderful recipe...it becomes office of the dinner rotation especially during the winter. I halve the recipe, merely I ordinarily use the whole can of tomato paste and crushed tomatoes anyway. In a pinch, I've substituted Italian seasoning for the spices. We dearest it!
01/25/2009
GREAT soup! I kept the pasta divide and added it as I warmed up bowlfuls. I also added some italian greenish beans and some zucchini just to get more than veggies in. I will brand this soup many, many more than times. In fact, I've got some cooking right now!
02/ten/2012
OMG! The best soup I retrieve I accept ever had....and I am not exaggerating.. Even my 13 year old son who HATES soup loved it!!! All of my kids said it tastes like speghetti but in soup form! Will definately be making this again and again and again!!! I followed this recipe to a T except I used fresh garlic and lycopersicon esculentum sauce instead of crushed tomatoes. Oh, and I seperated the pasta from the soup and just add it as we heat it up.
04/11/2013
I thought this was very tasty! I cut the servings down to 4 and it nonetheless made a ton. As well mine turned out to be much thicker than a soup. Most like an Italian pasta stew. Information technology was still very tasty and we had leftovers the side by side day and information technology was great. I'd make this again.
12/09/2010
Fantastic! I scaled the recipe downward to half. I forgot to add celery merely didn't even miss. I cooked the pasta seperately till al dente and threw it in at the end. I concluded up using more beefiness broth than required but I was looking more for a soupy effect. So skilful!!! Will brand again. Was skeptical on calculation a whole jar of garlic only glad I did. Definitely a keeper!
12/02/2011
I made this to have on hand for lunches over the Thanksgiving weekend. I made half of this recipe and used only 1 T. of oil and 5 cloves of fresh garlic, rather than the jarred garlic. I was hesitant about the amount of dried seasonings, so I cut back and used one t. each, thyme, basil and oregano. I used the total amount (1 T.) of dried parsley. Toward the end of the one hr cooking time, I did add 2 smallish chopped zucchini that I had on mitt. One time I added the beans, they were barely noticeable, so I put in a second can. I didn't add the ditalini pasta because some of our guests were watching their carbs, however I have every intention of adding the pasta to the few leftovers that are waiting in the freezer. This was an excellent Pasta east Fagioli and I will definitely make information technology again!
06/06/2002
What a delicious soup, specially served with rolls and a salad! Swell flavor.
xi/xviii/2007
This was delicious only thing I did different was to use one-half beef stock & half chicken stock. volition definetly exist a keeper great for a common cold winters nite.
10/25/2010
YUMMY! I used fresh garlic. Even meliorate the next day!
12/08/2010
I've avoided this recipe for years because I hate pasta in soup, but the contempo photo by TTV78 caused me to add this soup to my list, and I'm glad I did! Information technology looks similar a soup my mother made, and after making it, it tastes quite a flake like it as well. I used orzo and so that squishy noodles wouldn't be bothersome to us. I recall my mother might've too used red wine or red vino vinegar in some way -- I call up that'south the missing flavor, and perchance also a shredded carrot. Nosotros liked this a lot, served with crusty rolls and a handful of grated Parmesan on top. Thanks for the recipe!
10/15/2004
Good recipe. I was in a bustle and modified it slightly we could eat inside an hour. After I cooked the onions and celery in garlic, I put them in a large pot and added the rest of the ingredients except the kidney beans and pasta. I also used ane/2 italian sausage instead of all hamburger. Worked well. Thanks
01/27/2004
Outstanding! As good or amend than I've had in a popular italian restaurant chain. I made a few changes according to the ingredients I did or didn't accept on manus and likewise cooked the pasta separately so leftovers woudn't be mushy. Ate for dinner terminal night with garlic cheese bread and the whole family raved. Had it again for dejeuner today and it was just as good if non amend. Definitely a recipe I will make once again, and again! Thanks for sharing Ivan!
11/28/2001
We have been looking for this recipe for months. Information technology is outstanding. Cheers
03/17/2013
Tastes like spaghetti sauce, skilful spaghetti sauce. I like the huge corporeality of garlic, merely the rule regarding garlic around here is, "Never enough." If I make it once again, I will probably add together some more than veggies like peppers and mushrooms. It volition almost certainly get another practiced spaghetti soup.
10/15/2011
Neat comfort food. I loved this dish! Cut the recipe in quarters, used fesh garlic and added some chopped carrots. Couldn't wait for the leftovers the next mean solar day (there wasn't much leftover).
12/31/2011
loved it!
08/23/2006
Wonderful Paste Soup! Hey, wonder if were related? Recommed to everyone!
01/05/2011
I halved the recipe and used 32 oz beef goop and 14 oz veg broth and only one lb. beef. Used 3/4 tin can of crushed tomatoes (28 oz can). Used only virtually i/iv teas thyme and added a dash of cerise pepper flakes and a dash of sugar, along with all the rest of the spices recommended. Cooked the beef, onion, celery, and 3 teas garlic until beefiness was no longer pink. Tuckered, then added everything else and simmered 45 min. Added pasta and beans and cooked 15 more than minutes. Topped with parmesan... better than whatsoever other pasta fagioli I've ever tasted
ten/17/2013
Awesome Pasta due east fagioli!! I make this oft in the winter and it is always gobbled down!
07/17/2002
This is lucious! Now, if I could get the recipe for the "Chicago hard rolls", I'll exist in sky.
04/03/2011
Delicious~makes so much soup that I idea I was gonna demand a bigger pot. Was a fleck timid with the garlic so I used almost half of what the recipe called for. Adjacent time I will use the unabridged amount. Will definitely brand again.
09/15/2010
I honey this. Did in crock pot. Changed a chip. Threw in chopped carrot and dark-green pepper. Added in addition to ground beefiness a half pound each hot and sweetness italian sausage had left over from something else. Put in cup of red wine. Also 2 pinches red pepper flakes and 1/2 tsp white pepper. Nevertheless was not too spicy. Two heads fresh garlic. OMG smells so proficient. Brand fresh bread and you lot are in heaven. I would love to see some more of Ivan'southward recipes.
12/eleven/2008
Loved information technology! Delightful! Very easy to make...very fourth dimension consuming...simply very easy. Definitely worth the effort!
04/12/2013
This soup is amazing! I will definitely arrive again and once more. I only used 8oz of garlic considering that's what I had, and I don't eat kidney beans then I used a tin of pintos and a tin of swell northerns. I recall you could play around with unlike beans if yous wanted to! And I added some actress beefiness broth, simply cause I wanted a little more. But I kept information technology very close to the original recipe - no demand to mess with what works! Admittedly succulent and I cannot expect to make information technology again!
ten/nineteen/2010
I fabricated this today for my Mother for tiffin, and loved it so much, we're having it once again for dinner. My hubby, who's not a soup fan, said information technology was fantastic. I made it for eight with i lb. basis beefiness and tinkered a niggling with some of the ingredients. It was helpful to accept a little actress stock on hand. Excellant recipe!
09/17/2013
My husband and I really enjoyed this! Easy to make and very flavorful. I halved the recipe - didn't have enough beef stock so I used some chicken broth. Used one tin can of kidney beans and one can of navy beans. Delicious!
08/xiii/2011
Like shooting fish in a barrel and quick to prepare! I added a little hot sauce to mine. I as well added additional beef broth considering I prefer mine a little soupier.
09/10/2014
I have fabricated this 3 times. I did one-half the garlic because my husband preferred information technology that way. Allow me say that this soup is so very proficient!! I am making it this weekend but I am keeping the pasta separate. When the leftovers go in the refrigerator the pasta gets besides mushy.
12/thirteen/2008
Really tasty. The whole family enjoyed it. I have a ton left over to freeze! Yay!
02/09/2013
I cut the recipe in half. Used bootleg beefiness broth and added a scrap more than onion and used crushed garlic. This turned out to be a very tasty meal that we all enjoyed. Tasted better the side by side mean solar day, as most soups do. Had plenty of leftovers to freeze for a quick meal when in a rush. Thanks for sharing, Ivan O. Teeter.
12/01/2011
Very good recipe we really enjoyed information technology. I would too recommend as some other reviewer suggested, adding salt to your taste. I did halve the recipe and there was plenty left over. I will make once more!
01/21/2003
I roughly halved the ingredients, except for the garlic. I thought 1 jar was fashion too much so I used a heaping teaspoon. Anyway, it'southward patently a personal matter merely there was some seasoning that I didn't like. I'k guessing that it may have had likewise much thyme for our sense of taste.
02/08/2019
Nosotros liked it merely I didn't dear it. Maybe there was as well much thyme for me?
11/01/2011
Merely finished making your recipe and I must say it is delicious! My family loved it and I will be making it once more! Thank you lot for this contribution!
12/25/2006
Absolutely delicious! I even substituted footing turkey for the basis beef and I didn't add all the garlic as listed. Information technology was still full of rich Italian flavor and my Dad (who grew upward eating homemade Italian meals including pasta e fagioli) ate 5 bowls of this!
12/28/2014
I halved the recipe it made alot. It was ok, next day it turned more into a chili, all of the liquid soaked up so that was kinda bothersome.
09/xx/2011
The soup base of operations was excellent i did permit information technology simmer for an 60 minutes just I felt that ground beef inverse the season of the soup.. Next time ill use left over baked chicken and shred it in the soup. Reminds me alot of minestone soup b4 i added the ground beef.. Will make over again!
09/17/2013
Delicious! Hubby loved it and it was then piece of cake to make. Will exist making this one again. I might try it with basis sausage next time.
12/24/2013
First-class recipe! I fabricated it as written except used small-scale shell pasta instead of ditalini pasta because that is what I had on paw.
01/17/2011
Very expert season, I have never added the full corporeality of garlic and yet the season is excellent. Actually going to share this one with a friend. Taste like it is from a restaurant. I utilise one-half beef broth and half low sodium chichen goop.
12/xix/2011
I made this as written and I thought it was just okay. It didnt have enough flavour for me. I added some salt, cumin (to make it a little more than similar Olive Gardens'), and tomato sauce to make it a niggling thicker and richer. It was much meliorate with the additions.
04/23/2005
I made this for the showtime time today. It was very easy to make and delicious. Its 1 of my favorite soups to club at an Italian eating house. Cheers for sharing this not bad recipe1
12/26/2004
Excellant- all-time I take e'er had. Easy to make.
01/08/2009
Yummy! We had this last night and information technology well be fifty-fifty improve today, LOVED it.
01/28/2010
I was really happy with how this recipe turned out. I halved the recipe and made information technology in the crockpot. I added Navy beans per some other review and added a footling more than pasta (personal preference). I also substituted basis turkey for the ground beef, and I couldn't tell the departure. My husband LOVED this, and I will definitely be making it once again.
01/23/2016

Delicious! It's simply my married man and I, so I haved the recipe (still used all the love apple paste and crushed love apple-or the half a cans would have just sat in the fridge...). A little scared with and then much garlic-but nosotros both loved it. I will make once more.

Absolutely crawly! Made according to directions and wouldn't change a affair. The leftovers practise get very thick when refrigerated -- I attribute this to the gelatin in the consomme. May attempt it with beef broth next time.

Super yummy. I would cook the pasta separately at the end. Add the pasta but before serving. I too added ane beef burgoo cube for extra flavor.

Disappointed, especially with all of the rave reviews. This soup is begging for more vegetables. The garlic rich broth is actually good but the ground beef just leaves you wanting something...more? It's definitely a time consumer too. I won't exist making information technology again, simply if you are going to try it, def add some minced green pepper, mushrooms, zucchini.
